because at best, she’s semi-establishment. her rhetoric leans too close to the middle of nowhere for me to support her with my vote. at least not right now, as i see things. so, i pick on her a lot. i would imagine that she, and her campaign, got over that a long time ago.
but i pick on her a lot. anyone who would willingly continue the Bush/Cheney paradigm in the middle east deserves my middle finger as well as a swift kick in the ass. for me, it goes a bit beyond that, seeing that her rhetoric fundamentally supports the relatively rapid and complete destruction of our global resources, as noted here.
but this, among other things, is just stupid, and i am highly offended by it. it seems to be an innocuous poll, until you realize it’s linked as an advertisements from many supposed “news” sites with this image:

this image sits on a “news site” (several, actually) and it links to another “news site” hosting a poll, which, if you ignore the OTHER uncomplimentary photo of Hillary gracing the top of the page, is actually just about who do you think will eventually get the Democratic nomination, and even has a question about the Republican race.
and it’s not alone. Brad at SadlyNo! has a great write-up on the incompetent anti-Hillary twat-twiddling that is Camille Paglia, and which, while specific to the vacant, inept, moronism that is Camille Paglia, can be taken as a general commentary on the subject at hand.
apparently, the “vast right-wing conspiracy” against the Clintons is alive and well.
in the interest of not serving the interests of this “vast right-wing conspiracy”, i’m going to hold off on picking on the Clinton campaign for a bit. i may not agree with her moderate rhetoric, but she doesn’t deserve this crap.

“Senator and Presidential Candidate John McCain (R – Lala Land) sits with Republican Apologist Joseph Lieberman (R – GiveUsBackOurVotes) during a recent political forum. Pundits are discussing a potential McCain/Lieberman ticket, which would place the collective age of president and vice-president candidates far higher than ever seen before, and would likewise constitute the first presidential bid that failed so miserably to have any clue as to what the American public actually wants from its president.
At least, however, one of them is even aware of the existence of the camera.” |

“What? Me, undermine my wife’s political viability simply by existing? I suppose that depends on what your definition of ‘Duh!’ is. Besides, I’m far better than she’ll ever be at masquerading self-aggrandizing opportunism as global initiatives!”

commander other’s note: i’m not really in any way opposed to the Clinton Global Initiative. i simply realized on visiting their website and watching some of the video from this third annual meeting that a hell of a lot of their money is being spent on venue, backdrops, and other things which don’t directly do much at all to support the causes they claim to support. these annual meetings could easily take place in more cost-effective locations. just sayin’—and yes, i realize it’s a terribly easy point to nit-pick, since this is pretty much how everyone does these supposedly world-beneficial things.
